Technical Questions
What do I need to watch the course?
An internet connection and a device to connect to it. You can complete the course on any computer, tablet or Smartphone. For the best experience we recommend learning on a larger screen device – like a laptop of tablet.
Can I watch the course from more than one computer?
Yes. You can log in from anywhere you like from any device. You progress is stored in our system, not on your computer.
Do I need any special software to watch the course?
No. The courses can be followed using free software that most computers and tablets will have had installed during the course of everyday internet usage
Certification Questions
Who accredits your Certifications?
Our courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service. We also prepare you for a number of different forms of accreditation.

  • Once you have completed a course we will provide you with a Certificate of Completion. This indicates that you have completed the course and the assessment attached with the course.
  • We prepare you to sit the Microsoft Office Specialist accredited Excel Core and Excel Expert exams. These exams must be sat in a Microsoft Accredited Test Centre.
  • We prepare you for the IACT Excel iMaster certification. This is highest level Excel accreditation available. This is a credit based certification which requires completion of a number of courses, online assessments and a project submission.
How do I receive my Certificate?
After you have completed a course and passed the associated examinations and you receive a Certificate. This certificate is delivered in PDF format for you to print. It’s Internationally recognized and demonstrates to future employers that you have a high proficiency in Excel.
How do I receive my Excel Master Diploma Certificate?
When you have completed all courses and assessments, you can download the Excel Master project. You then work through the project and when you’ve finished, simply ZIP the file and email it to [email protected]

Our Master Trainer will then mark your project. Your mark will be emailed to you, along with your Certificate.

If you email us your postal address, we will also post your Excel Master Certification to you.

How do you know it's me that has taken the assessments?
In the same way that Universities ask their Online students to agree to an Honor Code, we do the same. When you sign up to take the exam, you are signing up to our Honor Code, stating that it is you that has competed the exam.

Is Payment Secure on your site?
Yes. Payments are 100% secured with SSL. Secure payments are powered by Stripe, used by millions of businesses around the globe.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay with any major credit or debit card.
How does the Free Trial work?
When you register for a free trial, you get 14 days access to all of the Courses. At the start of the 15th day, your card will be charged based on the plan that you selected.

If you cancel at any time during the 14 days, you won’t be be charged anything.

How does the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee work?
We stand behind our product and our method. If you purchase a Course or the Excel Master program and if your purchase fails to meet your expectations, you may return it within the first 30 days for a full refund.

Data Security Questions

What information do I need to provide?

To purchase the course we need your name, email and credit card number. We don't store your credit card details.

 

Is my personal information secure?

Yes. An encrypted SSL connection requires all information sent between a client and a server to be encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by the receiving software, thus providing a high degree of confidentiality. Confidentiality is important for both parties to any private transaction. In addition, all data sent over an encrypted SSL connection is protected with a mechanism for detecting tampering--that is, for automatically determining whether the data has been altered in transit.

Do you do anything with my data I should know about?

We only use your data to verify that it's you completing the course. We never send or share any of your data with any 3rd parties.

If there is an enhancement to a course, we may email you to let you know - but that's it.

General Questions

What skills do I need to start?

None. Our lessons start with the basics in each Microsoft Excel topic, so you don’t need any prior skill using Excel. If you are a more experienced Excel user, you can skip the modules in progress straight to the quiz to test your knowledge.

How long do I get to access the lessons for?

If you choose a Course, you get access for 1 Year.

If you choose a Membership plan, there are different options: Our Monthly option gives you access to all content for 30 days. If you join us for a year via our Yearly plan, you get full access to all content for 12 months.

If you purchase the Excel Master Program, you get lifetime access.

What format is the content delivered in?

All our services are delivered online via our website. The lessons are accessed from your account which is made available to you when you join. The content is delivered to you in the following ways:
1. Online video lessons
2. Downloadable files – Some lessons have downloadable files so you can practice what you have learned
3. Online Skills Assessments

What version of Excel is used?

The courses are recorded in Excel 2016 - however you can learn from the lessons regardless of which version of Excel you use. If though, you prefer to learn from a different version of Excel, simply let us know and we will swap your content to either Excel 2013 or Excel 2010.

How much time does it take to watch the lessons?

Each lesson is typically 2 to 5 minutes in length. You can view the lessons in sequence, or dip in and out of them whenever you need to.

How do I know if I'm progressing?

The system automatically records your progress for you. You can view your progress on the module home pages. Once you’re using Microsoft Office whilst doing the course, you’ll find yourself using shortcuts, utilising more of its functionality, and you’ll be generally a better user fairly quickly. When you’re watching the lessons, the system records your progress and shows you what % of the course you’ve completed, so you can track your learning every time you log in.

Do I need to save my work?

There's no need. The system remembers for you.

Do I have to complete the lessons in one go?

No. You can complete the course in your own time at your own pace. You can complete the course over as many log in sessions as you want. If you do want to, you can of course complete the entire course in one session.

Is there a time limit to complete the course?

Assessment Questions

Where do the assessment questions come from?

All questions are taken from a pool of questions relating to that chapter. Two people completing the course may get different questions from the pool. If you retake any assessments it's possible you may also see different questions the second time around.

What is the pre-assessment?

Some of our Business products contain a pre-assessment, to help us understand current skill levels. This is a quiz to test your current knowledge levels. Please complete the questions, then proceed to watching the lessons

What score do I need to pass?

85% is a considered a pass.

If you're enrolled in the Microsoft Excel Skills Program, perhaps via a company account, there is no pass or fail, you simply increase your Microsoft Excel Skills Score the more points you score in each quiz.

How many attempts can I have at each assessment?

You can take the assessments as often as you like.
